You're quite right Medicinal, China has made arangements with Google to make sure search results on said engine are cencored, particularly regarding political opinion and western media culture counter-intuitive to their communist/fascist government (yes I know communist/fascist is technically an oxymoron, but I believe China has genuinly succeeded in melding the two).

The North American internet freedoms are not as free as you think though. I was just watching an hour-long CBC story on the matter yesterday actually. There's a large deal of Canadian and American bloggers, just like you and I, who have been succesfully sued for providing links to websites that reprimand certain high-end individuals, such as business executives and politicians. In some cases, people were sued for voicing their opinions about (in)famous individuals in a derogatory manner.
