The county puts all the stuff in a kit. A sterile bottle, some bleach, and a bag for the tag. They will check it for several things they are interested in and in return I get to see what the different levels are for things I am interested in. The area had a problem with nitrites from some big old farms so they like to see what the wells are pulling. That way I can see how hard it really is. I know the well for the house is plenty hard as I run that through a conditioner. The out buildings pull from another well 600 yards up and I have had little experience with that well. It was certified and never had too many issues. Now I can find out all the stuff I need to know from my local government for cheap.
