Vansterdam? pffff

I have been here in Vancouver 2 weeks and so far i've been so dry..im pissed off bc i havnt smoked for weeks and the last guy who sold me some bud on the beach sold me bad stuff as well as ripped me off. Im sick of hearing ppl brag about this apparent bud filled city with wonderfully friendly potheads bc its simply not true! I got rejected so many times asking random ppl at the beach, downtown, and even at ubc...I am a university student and i've never had to go through so much just to smoke some weed! i am so angry bc i wasted my time and effort and i am still dry after 2 weeks. Most importantly i had to pump my self up and tell myself that ppl here are friendly and will help a stoner out everytime i approach a person holding a joint, and what happens? ppl blow smoke in my face and tell me they dont know who sells!!!??! erase this thread if you want to but I am so angry at the fact that a university student who doesnt even look like a cop can be turned down so many times in canada's supposed bud capital! DONT BRAG ABOUT THIS CITY ANYMORE, ITS ALL LIES!! I am now giving this up, gonna stay sober till i go back home in 2 weeks and im never gonna come back to this supposed vansterdam.

Wow man, you really must not know how to ask people? I've been to the city many times and found bud within the first couple people i asked every time, have you tried hanging around the "pot block"? It sucks that you are being treated like that in one of my favorite cities in the world, i hope your luck changes man:thumbsup:

Try this: Sit down at a bar, Order a beer(weather you drink or not), Scope out the potential, then buy the most likely person a drink, Tell that person that your here on vacation and a few things about yourself and where you come from, Then right before you and this stranger run out of things to talk about, Tell him/her(also try a girl who looks hot for you) that your drying out with no connections. That method has worked every-time for me, All over the states I've used that one and never had too many problems. Make it clear that your here on short term, Most people don't want new customers but will help make someones vacation better. :thumbsup:

Haha sorry for the rant in my op...ive since discovered some really good stuff in the city and i take back all the negative things i said lol LOVING VANCOUVER
