right now you best option is probably bending it over and either tying down or bending it by crushing the stem while the stem will still be intact it will usually heal up and form a knot if you only have one plant you may want to tie just to be on the safe side.
its kinda late in the season to be topping and would probably only result in the plant yielding less.
