can i put the clones in the same light as the mother plant which is 12 on and 12 off and is a 600 watt

Are you flowering the mother ? 12/12 will cause her to flower. Not sure I understand what you mean.

I personally would not put clones under a 600 watter. Good chance you might fry 'em if you get light too close. Pick ya up a few 42 watt, 6500K CFL's for your clones. Can get bulbs, fixtures, etc for around 15-20 bucks. 18/6 for clones is how I do it.
