    Possible to flower too soon?

    Hey everyone,

I have 2 plants one is 1.5 months the other about 3 weeks. The older one has been lst'd and topped (once) to slow it down to allow the other to catch up, so I can flower at the same time. the older one's tallest stem reaches 13" while the smaller one is 8". Is it too soon to flower the 8" plant? The big one has shown signs of sex already(female) and I don't want to ruin it in any way. Help would be appreciated as this is my first grow

Here's a pic of the lady and the.... it.

Wait until you see signs of sex on the smaller one, then flower them both. If you flower the younger one now, it'll probably just veg slowly for a week or three then begin its flowering, which will put it out of sync with the other.

Wait until you see signs of pre-flowers to go to 12/12. You will either see some small pistils coming from nodes, or you will see small pollen sacks. If you veg long enough they will automatically preflower once they are mature enough. Then you put it to 12/12 to induce full flowering. It will put all of its effort into producing those nice smelly sticky icky buds covered in resin glands.

    Thanks for the info guys:thumbsup:

So even if one has shown pre-flowers, leaving under 20/4 with the other smaller plant won't harm the female?

Nope, no harm. Just don't change your veg lighting schedule until both show preflowers, then go to 12/12.
