All plants look the same untill about one week after the light cycle is cut back. The male plants will show flowers (small ball like flower that starts in the middle of the main stem and where the fan leaves connect to the main stem) about three to five days before the females. The females will show flowers in the same place but will look like a rain drop shaped flower with two hairs growing out the top.
