Germination question
Be patient, they can take up to 2 weeks for hard-husked types.

Germination question
What should I do if the paper towel starts to dry out? Should I place the seed in a new paper towel?
I had the seeds for about four or about five years, but I kept them in a good dark place in my desk. Here Comes!! John Herer

Germination question
um... add some water to the towel?
the seeds are probably still fine. Germ rates start to drop after about 5 years or so but you'll get something.

Germination question
I have the same issue. I tried the suggestion to soak the seeds for 24 hours and then go to the towel. But I would only wait it out a week. I figured if they didnt pop, they were not going to. Stinkyattic thanks for the comment about time. I should give it more time. Good luck JohnHerer. I am with you. I can directly sow and get them to go within a couple days. Cant sprount them otherwise so I am going to keep trying.

Germination question
put it into soil NOW ... while some let the taproot grow a bit, it is risky ... that taproot is VERY sensitive, even light will kill it ... get it into a mild soil, and don't keep it too wet, or it will develop 'wilt' ... when I used the paper-towel method, mine went into soil at the first glimpse of the white ... of course, place the seed so that white taproot is facing DOWN ... :smokin:

Germination question
Well this is off topic, I've seen some fertilizers at the store and saw that there were no fertilizers that had no nitrogen bigger than p-k (6-12-6).
Thanks everyone for your comments and advice. Here Comes!! John Herer
