Im getting hotter and sweatier by the minute.....and what do you mean about my coug being productive? Like am I coughing anything up? B/c if thats what you meant than no, not enough to hack into a tissue or anything. Just enough to be insanely annoying. Im afraid im going to wake up and be wishing for death.

Yes, that is what I meant by productive cough. Well you can be hot but not have a fever so too bad you didn't take your temp before posting. I'm going to have to report you.
Ok, how about body aches? I'm guessing no so chances are you have a cold. It is almost impossible to get the flu in the summer. If your cough becomes productive, then it may be bacterial.

Sorry you don't feel well. I could tell you all the stuff we would ask and do at our clinic but just from what you are saying a wild ass guess would lean toward a virus. If your cough is annoying and non productive, we most likely would prescribe codeine (THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE). It relaxes the cough and gives those back muscles a chance to unwind. Of course they would say no smoking. Over the counter medicines for the aches and pains. But I don't know you or your medical history and I was trolling the posts. You sound like your miserable so I just wanted to say sorry, get well soon. If you do have a fever, please see your doc, you probably will need an antibiotic. I would guess Bactrin. Also I would recommend it so someone can listen to your lungs. Sorry don't mean to nag, I have just treated lots of people who let it go to long. Good luck to you..

Yeah I probably should go to the doctors. But I have to go to an amusement park on saturday and he'll probably schedule me for then. He's always so damn busy. But maybe I should get some tea.

I work at a school. I am exposed to EVERYTHING! It's too late to do my trick, I think, but you might want to try it anyway. At the first sigh of getting sick, I brew up some hot herb tea (Chamomile, Sleepy-time, red tea, etc). Next, I turn on the electric blanket to warmer than I usually have it. Then I take a very hot bath and drink the tea. I usually have a toke, too. Then, after the bath is cooling, but still hot, I get out and off to bed. I try to sleep as long as possible.
What I am doing- many germs can ONLY reproduce in a very narrow range of temperatures. This is why when you get sick, your body responds with a fever! It slows down the germs and your body gets to make more antibodies, while the germ's levels remain about the same. So by drinking hot tea, getting into a hot tub and then a warmed bed, you have created an artificial fever. By the time I get out of the tub, I feel "limp" and ready for bed! I rarely an ill enough to miss work. Sleep as much as you can and take your vitamins! - Granny:hippy:
