I'd say everybodies first time smoking weed is different, I didnt realise I was high. I just remember laughing my ass off for ages and thinking "what am I laughing at?".
As people have said make sure he's comfortable, dont pressure him into anything. Of course make sure hes educated in cannabis, no use getting him high if he's gonna start freaking out thinking he's gonna die or something.

I dont know what everyone is talking about with the "you dont get high the first time". I got so ripped my first time I actually mixed Cptn Morgans with milk, and drank it. I also drank a gallon of gatorade, then got to the point I couldnt walk and had to sit on the floor for 20 min. until I could stand again. Dont assume he wont get high, let him smoke, just take it kinda slow. You set the pace. I would suggest you show him how to inhale, take the first hit and show him how to hit it. GL man
