    are the first two roundish leaves of any importance? the sun got to one of em and burnt it off but the second set of more weed-like leaves came in

    Those are the cotyledons and if you have the 2nd leaves growing in, the plant should survive.

    ok thankyou very much i've grown all my plants outdoors under an a/c so it was self watered all summer from the water dripping in the soil.

    This is my first indoor attempt it is very difficult haha

    I accidentally pinched off a cotyledon when trying to help a plant out of its shell, and boy, that really set back the growth. That plant is like 1/5 the size of the one where I didn't make a booboo on it. Lesson learned: be gentle with the babies!
