If its that time and you know it, tell her immediately. But tell her in a consoling way so she realizes you arent trying to hurt her, you just know that the two of you arent compatible as a couple. If you still care about her then tell her that, give her reassurance. Tell her you would love to still hang out with her if its not too hard for her, but you realize that you werent meant to be and you wanted to end it before bad blood formed between the two of you.
