I've been doing some research regarding exhaust noise and would like some feedback on what I was thinking.
My new room is 12X20. It's a seperate bldg. from my house but unfortunately it tends to be awfully close to a neighbour. Their cool, but hey, who knows... More like, let's NOT let them know...
Anyhow, I'll be running 6 1000's in it so will need a size large fan, which I have. I got the instructions for making a duck muffler to attach to the fan along with a 10" carbon filter, but like allot of folk, the air noise itself is always a problem. I'm crappy at figuring the pitch on the roof of this bldg but from the 8' ceiling to the ridge cap, it's approx. 4'.
I was thinking of going in thru the gable end and insulating the supreme shit out of it and exhaust the "room" directly into the whole attic. I'll install a couple of those size large turbine roof vents, that need zero power, just below the ridge line to disperse the heated and hopefully NOT stinky air into the ozone.
Watcha think???
