the word Pot comes from the greek word Pothus, which means "elevated mind". this is refering to the effects of the herb upon us, and apparently even the greeks appreciated the plant, since that is where we derive the word Pot from.

Dunno. But I have come to the conclusion that the word "Marijuana" was derived from Mexicans crossing the border illegally, and had brought the herb with them when they did so, a really long time ago. I forgot what I read that made me believe it, I started to believe it when I was blown out of my mind, so it may be possible for me to be reading about Marijuana one minute, then Illegal Aliens the next. I'm not sure.
