Are my seedling stems too long.

my stems are about 3 inchs and then the first four leaves,
i have them about 2 inchs from the flur lights ,they are a litte bendy but seem to be standing on their own. just wondered if that was right .
    I think they look long.

Its hard to say without seeing pictures, but what I would recommend is getting more light. It sounds like they are stretching because they don't have enough. What king of floros are you using?

When it's time to transplant them you can bury them up to the bottom 2 lil round leaves to use up some of the stretch your seeing early on . Do you flower them w/ cfls too ?

i'm using stndard 3 ft tubes (white and 2 of them )i used the same kit for my cuttings and one of the 5 i took came out fine .its flowering as we type.
so should i have put them right up to the tubes?

From what I can remember when I used tubes, they don't get very hot at all, nothing like the CFL's do. I know I used to get mine almost right up to them. And there were times that I'd come home and find the plants into the lights, and they didn't seem to be burnt nearly as bad as the CFL's burn. But in general, keep them about an inch or two away, just keep an eye on them till you know a good spot.
