What's jail or prison like???

guards over there must have a lot of time

it depends really.... if it's a small jail gaurds usually do take preventative steps to prevent fights... after all, fights mean paper work for them...

but if it's some huge ass jail, like harris county jail... they don't care... they may prevent one fight, but then there are 50 others that happen reguardless... huge jails pose a problem of preventative measures since there is just so many inmates.

I did an overnight in the slammer once as a Juvenile, I kept pissing off the officers because I kept staring at them and smiling. I wouldn't want to go to prison. Don't act like your tough shit and saying it looks fun. Watching the prison scenes in American History X was more than enough for me because that shit is real.

Ne'r been to prison but been to jail several times. I imagine prison would be worse simply because you're in there for the long haul whereas jail is only 30 days or less in most cases. In jail there's less to do. When I went, we had 30 people in one room. There was 1 TV, plenty of cards, a couple sets of dominoes, pens, paper and a book cart once a week. It was still more boring than watching grass grow. They were the longest weeks of my life. One time I snuck about an ounce of tobacco in with me. I lived like a king in jail then. Got in a fight over it cause some dude thought he could punk me out of it. But I kept my goddamn tobacco. That shit's more valuable than platinum in jail. So fights are common, but not the butt rape, gang violence, and other shit you see in real prison.

Overall, I'd say jail is fairly accurately portrayed, but not prison. I faired alright by keeping to myself. In prison, (i'd imagine) you can count on your folks to help you a little in a bad situation. Once my tobacco ran out, so did my "friends". However fun it is, don't make friends in jail. Don't get numbers from people in jail and call them when they get out. You think they'll keep you out of trouble? You'll wind up right back in there with 'em. But if it's so fun looking, go ahead.

I got the impression that partyguy420 had upset the guy, so he then ran off to tell the guards that partyguy420 had items that were not allowed, or exceeded a quantity that they were limited to. Which is why he flushed all the stuff away because he knew that the search was gonna' happen and he had been breaking the rules.

I think it would be cool to tell someone that I was in jail/prison even though I've never been there. I mean, it's prison. Prison means that you may be a criminal, and criminal stuff is cool. I mean, people may commit crimes like rape or murder simply because it may be a natural desire for a human being to do so. I never murdered or raped anybody, but I know it would feel natural for me to do that. But at the same time, of course, I would be scared of the possibility of being raped or beat up in a prison.

D'ya think you're bad or summets? crime isn't cool, being a criminal isn't cool and going to prison would not be cool lol and it's def not gonna sound cool saying you've been there once you've grown up and actually want a proper job...you'd end up regretting it.

I went to jail for the first time 2 days ago,,, and for 12 hours I was locked in a cold ass cell with only a concrete bench to sit on.. the whole time people we slamming on their cell doors, and i can tell you it was not a fun expirience.
