Eezy crystal,
Ibanez is a great brand dude, very solid. I've got a Strat, but it's a custom build with one twin Seymor Duncan humbucker near the bridge and just volume, no tone. It's fat!
Guitar Rig is software that can be used as a stand alone program, or as a DX plug in for Cubase if ur into that stuff. Basicaly y plug ur guitar into ur PC and the rig will simulate just about any amp, it's swwweeeet. Marshals, Vox, Tubes, Valves, you name it! Y need a reasnonable sound card, most of the newish ones are fine. For excellent results try runing the audio from ur PC through an amp and speakers.
Have fun!

I use Adobe Audition for my effects (except for a Fuzzbox and Crybaby), as I record at home alot. It has a lot of onboard EQ, reverb, digi/mix, and an unlimited # of tracks..
If you feel like sending a copy my way, though...

I don't play guitar, but I would advise anyone who does to listen to John McLaughlin. He had a crazy band in the 70s called the Mahavishnu Orchestra, sounds stupid but it's some of the best jazz fusion around and IMHO he's the best guitarist I've ever heard.
Peter: [writing letter] Dear MacGuyver, Enclosed is a rubber band, a paper clip, and a drinking straw. Please save my dog.
