I like the way Michael Moore presents his theories in the documentaries, he is certainly passionate about what he believes in. But, he can also sometimes be rather biased with his views on the subject at hand, and has been known to harbor a few inaccuracies in his films. But, hey, when you're able to film & produce your own documentaries, you're allowed that creative-expressive freedom.

What is his stance on the legality of marijuana in the first place? Is he an advocate? If not, I doubt he'd have much willingness to take part in such a film.
Mr. C. No response as of yet. I would not expect it without a reasonably sized letter writing campaign, but I must confess that the idea has gotten me off of my ass enough to begin work on my own film. If you build it they will come!! We should all be making our own statements rather than waiting around for somebody else to save us.
As far as Moore's views on weed, I have not spoken to him personally, so I have no idea how much he relies on the Cannabis plant in his own life, if at all...but I know he is passionate about doing away with corporate/government red tape and corruption, and that is what the fight for the decriminalization of Cannabis is all about. As far as his bias goes--I am not offended by it. If he were biased in favor of corporate greed, then I would have a problem.

I would worry that his being linked to the project would actually cause more harm than good. I can see the FOX coverage already. Oy.

However, I plead ignornace re: other documentary filmmakers.

Tell me who to write to.

I appreciate your concern, Friend Indeed, but I must say that controversy is sometimes the only way for information to break out of the underground. On your second point, I believe it is impossible to do more harm than good--Cannabis is banned by the U.S. government, and also by most other countries' governments. It is this way because of our global corporate culture centered in the U.S.A. where our citizens are imprisoned by the 1000s for openly practicing THE CONSTITUTION. It cannot get any worse, only better. I want my country back, even though it was gone before I was born...
Tea Party Reviewed by Tea Party on . Free Weed From The Government! I figured that would get some looks!...the headline means that we must free Cannabis from the clutches of the DEA and the Ghost of Anslinger. This is my first thread post, so be gentle. I just wrote an E-mail to Michael Moore insisting that he document the BC3 Extradition hearing/trial/imprisonment. I am pasting in the letter so all can see what it said. I gently suggest that others email him as well. Pretend he is a congress person who may actually get the message through his handlers. Rating: 5
