Seedling is Yellowing!
what soil is that seedling in?
it looks overwatered or its sensitive to ferts, nitrogen (the claw) & the brownish areas may be burn starting
if its in miracle grow seedling soil? that has miracle grow fertilizer in it which most seedlings dont like

Seedling is Yellowing!
I'm with reaper and Ganja....just doesn't look good. I'll leave to the real soil growers to decide what to do.

yeah i am in fact using the Miracle grow seedling soil. I dont think the levels of ferts in there are high enough to really harm the seedling but what do i know im a total nooblet!
The only real reason i say this though is because the other seedling seems to be doing absolutely fine in it. I think its more because i used the bottome of a powerade bottle as a pot for the seedling and that could be why i think?!
Anyway though here's a pic of the nute content of the miracle grow seedling starter soil.

that Miracle-Gro soil is OK ... the nute levels there, are almost 'trace' amounts ... but, don't add any nutrients to it for awhile ... usually, those type 'nute-added time-release' soils are good for the first two months, nitrogen-wise ... over-watering or poor drainage will also produce yellowing, and fungi-looking leaves, I know, I killed hundreds with Pythium Wilt
... I'm as guilty of 'over-love' as anyone ... now, I tend to ignore them, and they do much better ... kinda like my marriages, when I was on the road for a month at a time, I was a great husband ... but, then, I'd come home, and screw it all up
... (Weedhound, check with stinky for my e-mail address, she MIGHT have it)

that Miracle-Gro soil is OK
Ive seen nothing but trouble with MG soils and seedlings
a seedling thats "unhealthy... with smaller roots".... can easily be burnt even with trace amounts....given the necrotic areas now beginning to show I wouldnt rule out the soil yet
I see that the nitrogen content on the label , isnt "urea orgainc based" which is less likely to burn" its ammonical & nitrate which does burn plants.
Miracle Grow has just re-formulated thier Seedling Soil Mix within the past month , it now contains some of the Urea "organic type" nitrogen (0.10% urea nitrogen organic non burning type) the ammonical type nitrogen they coat for a slow release & less burn
maybe they old formula was burning too many seedlings, or why the change adding Organic non burning nitrogen
just my 2 cents

Seedling is Yellowing!
Some of my MTF seedlings showed that purple leaf thing under the same conditions that other plants and strains in that crop did not, and they grew out of it, and a couple ended up showing purple colors near harvest.

...always make your own soil mix... sheesh
but those plants look fine, let them grow on... do you foliar feed... use diluted nutes... i don't know which way you want to grow it, it is your plant.
congrats on the purple pheno

i wouldn't think that would be appropriate for a soil for flowering, you could definately clone in peat moss, and perlite. I would see what kind of premix soil you can get or find a great recipe online... i only know of outdoor recipes
