ok so i see ppl do this all the time. while there hitting, they stick the end of their lighter or finger in the bowl and push the weed around. why? whats the point?

maybe so to pack it down or so it dont fall out as it rises when it burns i used to do that

People stir it because the flame tends to gravitate toward the middle of the bowl, over the opening, and the smoking materials on the sides are not getting burned enough.
