I read you're post and it made a lot of sense to me. You were right about the high school thing. other ppl have told me as well that my brain is still developing, i just ignored them. it makes me feel like shit now, because i am going into grade 10 this year and i have smoked tons of weed in my time.
I didnt get what you meant by saying that the symptoms i have are not worth quitting for... if im aggressive , nasty and not even having fun doing something, why keep doing it?
Another thing you said gave me an idea...about the treat thing, instead of spending money on weed i could buy myself treats , like a new game or new clothes, or even spend money on activities when im bored like movies/swimming because thats usually when i give in to my addiction is when im bored.
Its gunna be hard for me to quit because my school is know for how much weed we smoke,... every lunch there is a least 5 groups smoking weed. PLUS...i hate most pl at my school because its full of stuck up people, and therefor im not very popular ( or atleast i think) , but yeah, when im at school about 90% of the time im wishing i was somewhere else and weed was just the escapism i craved. Hopefully it was just a phase among
us youngsters.
i thought that was really cool about he poem, i used to write poetry, i should post some of it on cannabis.com, but most of my shit was anger i was letting out (twisted shit). i wasnt really good but its worth a try

Uh, its genes, not jeans. There is scientific research to prove that marijuana is non addictive and does not cause cancer, in fact it is often used in the treatment for cancer patients because the THC may fight cancer cells. I'm not sure why you're freaking out. I don't often see personality changes in my friends when we smoke, either. Oh, and I smoke every day and still get a 3.5.:wtf:

I'm also going through the stage where smoking is bringing out subtle anxiety and panic about my future. But yeah, like a post above said, don't revolve your life around it. I've taken to smoking once, half an hour before bed now, so I can read a good book, listen to some good music and not give into munchies. At this time, I'll be fast asleep before I start getting any anxious thoughts.

Writing is great therapy. I think we would all be happier if we wrote down our thoughts, in poetry or songs or even just rants! You should keep a notebook during this time in your life; it will give you a place to vent, and will be really neat to look back on!

Sometimes I think what are the long term effects of my cannabis smoking too lol. I smoke heavily and I seem to be addicted a bit but I think it's all good. Just cut back. And smoking isn't necessarily healthy in it self. Cannabis has nothing to do with it, it's just the fact that smoke is going in your body. Cannabis does the complete opposite to me that you says it does for you. I dunno what your problem seems to be. Maybe you can take some valiums when you smoke. Maybe that could help even more. And you could always vaporize weed.

Hon, even with all these studies, if pot makes you feel bad, quit! See if it is the pot, or are you developing problems due to other influences in your life? You need to find out! Hang in there and find someone to talk with that isn't on line!
It really upsets me that the US government has known since 1987, that pot messes up leukemia cell's maturation. If this knowledge had been in doctor's hands then, would your Mom (and my friend's brother) lived? I only listed part of the studies I have- click the link in my sig to continue your education! - Granny:hippy:
