Oh shit, bleaching my hair is so not what I wanted to do, but I can see how it would help. I guess I dont mind, but I havent even bleached my hair since high school, which was way too long ago. what the heck kind of bleach? Where to buy? Do they sell that crap at walgreens, because I'm at work and there is a walgreens across the street. I just dont want my hair to fall out.

Yes, at this point Im thinking a blood test would rock my world. This sucks, they treat me like I'm a criminal and I dont even have a criminal background.

So should I bleach, bleach, Zydot, dye?

Probably just head, but you can say it includes other hair. They cant shit on your beliefs, and if they fire you over it you can sue their asses.By law hey have to accommodate for peoples religion - its called equal opportunities. Although you may have had to specify your being rasta on your employment docs, you could just say you've changed since then and wasn't informed of the protocol to change your details to include your new beliefs.

I understand about equal opportunity but in the same breath you can't be treated differently than others, they can't be subject to a hair test and you not either. Then they have been discriminated. Definitely a weird area. I would also think that you are going to have to prove this more than just saying you are a member of Rasta.

How can someone prove their faith? Theres no way to clearly define weather or not someone believes in something. besides, she has the dreds already

I don't know anything about passing a hair test but if I was an employer and a new hire was about to take a hair test and they show up with bleeched hair, I'd be a little suspicious. I understand you want the job, but don't go nuts trying to pass a drug test :P
