hair test soon, advice asap pleeeease!!!

Hey everyone, longtime smoker first time forumer!

Here's my question:

I am getting hair tested for a future job I really really want.

I have dreads, but I also do have a decent amount of random straglers for them to grab. I am also a female, 5'5" and about 135lbs, I hear that may make a difference. Over the phone they had said if they cannot get my hair due to the dreads (they do not take dreads) they could probably get the testing done some other way. This was a great thing for me at first, thinking they would just piss-test me, but now that I'm reading this website I am afraid they will want to draw my blood. So I would prefer they just take my hair.

Anyway, I already used this "TESTIN' kokopelli and spike" stuff, with some apple cider vinegar that was recommended on the bottle to use before hand, not knowing when they would test me and afraid they would during one particular interview. Having contacted the company, they recommend that I shampoo a few hrs before the actual test as the THC is still in my system and will probably show up in two weeks when my test actually is.

So now I am debating over two brands that I can buy from some stores in my area. TESTIN' was bought over the internet and I'd rather not spend the debit card and shipping on it, the stuff around town is cheaper.

Brand 1: Zydot
Brand 2: AllClear

Does anyone have any advice or living experience with either of these brands working or not working? Please let me know as soon as possible so that I can buy the correct type!!

I am/was an everyday smoker of at least a bowl a day for the past like 13 yrs!!! I hope what I am writing is not anything worth getting edited. I just want everyone to know where I stand. I have not smoked in 7 days now and am just fine with that. And I will refrain until my test day, actually until my test results come back.

I hate the fact I have this gut wrenching feeling all week as my life lays in the hands of the fact that I love what I love and I do what I do and the fact that what I do is illegal. I am a productive victim of our crappy capitalistic society, so I don't get why they care what I do. But anyway Zydot vs AllClear any advice?

You have dreads, are you African-American? I ask because if you are you, African-Americans have a harder time cleaning their hair of THC metabolites than others. I like Zydot, I know many who have used it first hand.

What they might have meant by working around not being able to use your dreads they might have meant taking hair from an alternative location. The only case I have heard of them going from hair to urine the person was undergoing chemo and had lost almost all hair. Blood is actually easier to beat than hair. There is nothing you can do to beat a blood test but the detection time is usually around 72 hours so if you stop for a week before a blood test you should pass.

No, I'm a white girl. My dreads are pretty dry, poofy. I have quite a few wispy strands, and specifically in the mid-region. I've been feeling my hair out due to this test, I'm sure they will be able to get some from my head. They are not dreaded down to the skull either, I'm sure they could get enuf from the root as they are, if I were insane enuf to let them wreck my hair.
So, you say Zydot is what all the cool kids are using these days? This product worked for you and your friends?

my opinion is fuck hair tests, look for a job that urine tests easier to pass.

theres no way you pass if you smoke pot under no circumstance.

I say try bleaching Your hair twice and dyeing it if You can. Please post if You try it.

i smoke once a day everyday for ever, including the past 3 months.
i wasnt thinking of bleaching and dying, why would that work? has this technique worked for someone?

Bleaching the color out of hair involves using a strong base that also causes damage to the hair. The actual damage done by the bleaching agent helps to remove THC metabolites as well as making the hair slightly porous which may help remove even more metabolites over the next few days. Dying the hair back isn't to help with the test but so that your boss doesn't know that you went Billy Idol to beat the test.

I know people who have used Zydot and passed and I have also seen a government studt that showed Zydot can help reduce THC metabolites in the hair by up to 39%.

Basically, the more you smoke, the more you need to do to your hair to remove the metabolites. It is hard to do and doesn't always work but it can be done.

That's interesting, what religions though make you shave all your body and head hair? I wonder if you would have to prove this and still then I wonder if the employer is obligated to accomodate your religious needs before they even hire you?
