How much does paypal charge

Soemone just sent me £150 through paypal and It said 150.. but then after clicking accept and everything it went down to £144, just like before one time where someone sent me £45 and it went down to £41 or something

I didnt know they charge a percentage, Does anyone know how much it is??

Oh really well thats confusing does it say anywhere how many percent because I dont know where to look or read I have gotten £10.50 before and when I put it into my account it didnt change me anything so thats why I dont understand it!?

Because sometimes they do charge me and sometimes they dont..

How would that work for people buying stuff from eBay then? If someone for instance cost £100 and the person pays £100 but the seller would only recieve £90? Does that mean the buyer would have to pay more or what????? I thought transactions through paypal were free.. im so confused... :wtf:

Oh really I didnt know that I was looking all over the paypal website but I couldnt find where it said that.

Its weird how when I've got stuff before it didnt charge anything but this time it did im guessing its because its more.

So that means when people sell stuff on eBay they dont really get what the person sells for (if they are selling through paypal) they actually lose out on 3 percent?

Oh well you learn something everyday.
