a good bowl is the bells you buy for pet birds. just go to a pet store. also,those funnels that are used for flasks are really good bowls.

recently i've been making wooden pipes.... is there a better way to make a permanent long lasting pipe then using wood thats pretty easy to make?

Go ahead and keep making the wood pipes, and then make an insert for the bowl out of clay.

I've been making bowls out of antler for more than 20 yrs.
They smoke very well and last. The thing to remember is that the center is porous so the resin will eventually soak through. I use an epoxy to seal this, remember not to use it on any part you will be smoking through. You don't want to smoke the glue.:thumbsup:
