I have heard bad things about them. But of course being the asshole I am I tried them. I'll be real with you. If you got some hps you are better off. I found through experiment that the compacts work quite well if you insist on useing flouro's. You need to use more of them then regular strip lights but they create just a little more heat with out burning the plant, in my situation that was perfect. I have a couple different setups just for bullshits sake and I am far from a commercial grower but I have learned to experiment and that marijuana will bounce back from almost anythig you can throw at it. As far as the different colors and spectrums, I'm an electrician and as far as I know they only come in one color due mostly to the factthat most people use them to save money in their regular home fixtures.
