No internet

I dont have the internet at the moment and i wont have for about another 10-14 days, but I randomly got a crappy (1 bar out of 5) connection from next door or somewhere close by as I have a laptop that has wireless internet interesting how I can use someone elses connection Im sure this cant be legal haha..

btw that's exactly why i'm against wifi not only does it pose an actual security risk but someone else basicly using your ip.. if used 'for the wrong reasons' could seriously land you in some shit

You can protect the wifi connection with password encryptions. Anyways, you can just constantly stay connected to them, there's nothing you have to do or not do except just be in range of them. I wouldn't move your laptop.

Hahaha! obviously there is because im not here people just dont find the site interesting anymore and so decide to leave !

but yeah anyway my internet connection is unprotected and so is my next door neighbours apprently lol but it gets me really paranoid sometimes would they be able to know all the websites i go on and stuff and I have lots of personal info and websites that I go on like internet banking so would people easily be able to see my passwords and stuff that im typing!?

Well if you want me to lie to make you feel better, no.

If you want an honest answer so that you can protect yourself in the future and make any changes you need to, yes.

Anyone who can get into your router can see what sites you go to, but to be able to see everything you type and your passwords they'd have to hook up to your connection. They could also be using your connection for illegal activitities.

So its possible that they can see what websites I go to, well I dont mind that and as for using my connection for illegal activities thats pretty scary who knows what people could be doing.. I suppose im going to have to look this up is it pretty straight-forward to secure the connection?

Yeah it's pretty easy to do, but just think, right now your on you're neighbors connection using a site called cannabis.com. Do you think they would approve of that? What router do you have? I can find the directions for you. Basically all you have to do is get into you're router and then pick a password to put on your connection.

yea... we do it all the time... when i want to go to porn sites... i use my neabhors conection... hes an ass hole anyways...(we are smart enough to have our router locked so that no one can get on ours...)

I dont think they would approve but its unlikely they would know anything about how to find out what im doing lol they're probably asleep right now anyway and theyre like 50 years old (ps I hope they dont read this LOL)
