So I never make posts, because I never think I have anything interesting, but I'm hoping you guys will agree, as I was shocked by this.
Has anyone ever seen the movie "the corporation"?
It's a documentary examining the world of big business, its policies, actions, and the increasing global connection between businesses. It also highlights the disregard for human rights(among other things) that corporations have, due to their interest in making the most profit. There is a segment on the production of milk in the US, detailing how Monsanto, a corporation, was using Bovine drugs in the cows to produce more milk, however there are serious health risks posed to humans who drink the milk, as it is tainted with the hormone. In Canada, HealthCanada banned the use of this product on cows, however it still is being used in the US, making the milk highly dangerous to humans. Anyways, I wondered if anyone had seen this, and what thoughts people had about it?
Maybe it just shocked me?

Haven't seen it, but from my 66 years on the planet, I can vouch for the ruthless pursuit of profit by corporations. Profit without regard to any safeguards for humanity. Profit is the diety of corporate moguls. Without some government control on corporations (control by the people, not the bought and paid for politicians), they will desecrate the earth and the populace in their quest for the almighty dollar. We need to make lobbying illegal, remove the politicians from the corporate payroll. Then elect the best men possible to office, the ones that will do the peoples bidding as the constitutional fathers planned it. Take back control of our country. I realize this will never happen in the real world as the men in power are too entrenched and will never yield power, even resorting to using the military on their citizens if necessary. This is a sad state of affairs, but is pretty much the way it is. Does anyone here see a solution?

well, all i can say is i highly recommend this movie to anyone who hasn't watched it. It's awesome...a very interesting story. It's three parts. Hard to find online...but it's at video stores wherever documentaries are.
And if i do say so...it doesnt really matter about your political views...it applies to anyone who is a consumer...which most are.

Yeah, and I really don't have a problem with winners, but winners at any cost is the problem. We should all be winners. Why should one person have the run of the world and another have to eat garbage. In IMHO, there is enough wealth for every person on the planet to enjoy a great life. We just have to get control of the population explosion and remove greed from the equation. Remember the little kid in school that wouldn't share his toys or food, we have those assholes running things. Maybe a genocide of the rich, putting their wealth back into the general populace, ~LOL~. There are enough resourses on the planet to sustain 2 billion people long term, (according to scientists that study these things) and we have 8 billion +. That should tell us a story. I guess we'll have to use the nukes to thin down the herd. I'm 66, so it wouldn't matter that much to me, I just hope if they drop one on Vegas, My house is dead center ground zero. I wouldn't want to die from radiation poisening

Shoot, bring back the guillotine, those were party times, crowds of thousands turned out to see the heads roll, you could put it on pay per view and clean up. Can you imagine what people would pay to see Bush and Cheney guillotined, hell, I'd give a hundred and I'm a poor bastard. ~LOL~.
