You can't get a stamp. Marijuana is illegal and you won't be able to get a stamp as long as it stays that way. Just because you can be charged with tax evasion doesn't mean you can get a stamp to bypass it. When you get your stamp I'll admit I was wrong.

In my opinion Gravity has been doing the best research, Yeah you can't tax illegal products but in some cases marijuana isn't illegal..

You can tax illegal products. That is what marihuana tax stamps are. This, of course is ridiculous, and constitutes double jeopardy, which is unconstitutional.

The reason the goverment made tax stamps is because it was the only way they could legally make marijuana illegal. The idea came from baning the sale of automatic tommy guns by only making a limited amount of stamps. Normls is wrong when they say the reason for the tax is so they can charge you with tax evasion. The history channel has an entire series called hooked: Illegal drugs and how they got that way, Marijuana where they explained this and how anslinger used this to ban marijuana

the sixteenth amendment to the us constitution states that congress has the power to both impose and accept tax money, regardless of the source.

the legality of your income or purchase isn't a factor in taxes, they don't care were your spending or making your money as long as you pay taxes. i thought this was common knowledge.

also our country should definitly shift tax funding from the unwinable drug war into the more important terror war

Um... the "war on terror" is an unwinnable war, if you didn't know. Plus, they are using it to their advantage to take more of our rights away. Did you know this, or do you watch the news too much? The War on Terror is a manufactured war, and so is the enemy. We fund terrorism, and we have no intention of killing Osama Bin Laden. We should definitely stop all wars that are unwinnable, and unjust. In otherwords, that would mean the war on drugs and the "war on terror."
