are threads about other illegal drugs off-limits?
i was curious about starting up a discussion about other substances but i ask if it's automatically off-limits...substances like psilocybin and cocaine and LSD and such... kinda out of curiosity's sake. i don't mean like a "hee haw i'm tripping on shrooms" topic, but something with an informative intent. like i said, i'm curious about the actual taking, things not to do (e.g., safety...like don't mix with other drugs), how addictive they are and if they're "worth the risk" to try, etc.

No, it is not okay because unfortunately even with your well-intended thread, there will be people that will turn it into a dangerous conversation where people could get bad ideas. This is a CANNABIS forum. Sorry to sound mean or whatever, it's nothing personal, I'm just letting you know.

Typically we now even delete the alcohol and even, say, salvia-related threads. Those are legal in most places for adults, but we stick to cannabis here. When our owner Sundance took over these boards more than a year ago, he abolished the Other Psychotropics discussion area and implemented the cannabis-only discussion policy.
In our Medicinal Cannabis and Health sub-forum, discussion of legally prescribed medicines, supplements, vitamins, and over-the-counter medicines taken for their intended purpose is allowed, particularly as those substances relate to and interact with cannabis but also as they relate to health as a whole. People sometimes see these allowances as contradictory exceptions to the cannabis-only rule, but they're really not. They're more of a corallary.\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"

Thanks, Crunk. And thanks to everyone for understanding.
Fortunately, there are other forums on which people can discuss other illicit substances. It was controversial at first when the decision was made to limit discussion here to cannabis only. But in the end it was very much the right decision for these boards, and it truly had a very positive effect here in the end. As many growing pains as the new age limit has created in this last week, I suspect we'll all look back and agree that it was a good decision for the boards in the end, too. (Even the sneak-backers. And yes, we know you're out there. I almost wanted to welcome three of you by your original names earlier!)\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"
