I don't really think that Obama can make things 'equal'. Just because he's black?? That makes no sense, really.
Fact of the matter is, we will never all be equal. There are too many people to please, hence why politics is such a game. Make a platform that attracts the MOST people...if it were possible to be equal everywhere, we'd never switch leaders, right?

And the religion is most likely a big part of why America won't move forward on same sex issues. Although personally, I think it's good we did in Canada....cause we don't really see it as often. There are no more complaints about how gays are persecuted every day. They go about their business, straight people go about theirs...no conflict.

But I digress....
Really, no candidate will ever make things equal everywhere in the country. You could have made the same argument about Hillary, since America has never had a woman president, maybe she could foster equality?? Doesn't matter who it is really...

What I did wonder about electing Hilary, was how would leaders in the middle east respond to her, if at all?
FreshNugz Reviewed by FreshNugz on . Barack Obama for President? So I'm not thaaaaat into Politics, and I'm sorry if any of this has been discussed earlier... but Barack Obama, it seems, is a 2008 Presidential Candidate. Now, I certainly do not know enough about ANY of the candidates to really hold an opinion, but I was wondering... Do you think, since Barack Obama is black, if he won Presidency he would know what it takes to really make men (and women) equal? We've never had a President that didn't fit the "Free Man" picture.... middle aged, and Rating: 5
