i liked obama awhile ago. i am not here to argue about it but i will say for the record i like his idea about the immediate pullout. i have heard the arguments against it and had people attempt to put words in my mouth saying i dont respect soldiers etc if i want them pulled out. no, the fact is i never thought they should have been there in the first place and i dont like the logic behind people say well that may be but now that we are there...you know the rest. anyhow, he seemed to be before all this shit with hillary started different than other politicians, less of a bureacrat or more of someone who really was straight and didnt do things for purely political reasons. now i feel that he has kind of sold out on those principles and probably will just vote for a third party and throw my vote away because he is winning illinois either way. i like him better than hillary though, i think she is lacking a soul.

as for the equality thing, i am not black myself so ill never truly know, but i can say that it has been my experience that pretty much the only racists left in this country are the truly stupid people, powerful or otherwise, whereas i think before the civil rights movement a lot of otherwise good people were racist as a result of environment. i think now as far as minorities go it is about as equal as it is ever going to get. gays are the only people who dont have pretty much what they want, and even on the personal level i dont see them being treated nearly as badly as news stories would have you believe
