I have 4 of these light now in my grow groom. I wanted to know are good for now. I will post a pic later of my set up.

They would work for flowerin but not real good for vegging.You can buy these lights at walmart for less than $10

Great.... Is there another type of light close to this that I can useâ?¦ I know a HPS light would be great but I donâ??t have the funds to get one right now. I was looking for another cost effective way for light during the flowering phaseâ?¦

Try a site like htgsupply.com, you might be able to afford one of their low-end HPS lights.

Fluorescent tubes might be an option too, if you have enough space and enough plants to fit under them.

these are alot cheaper at a box store, you can get a 4 pk for that price. but they are most commonly found in 26w but you can find them there. if you try flowering with them buy a warm light instead of the daylight spectrum. you can get a 150w hps at growerssuply with a built in ballast for 80+$, you will find though that you will want to upgrade after the first time.
