    Iron Butterfly

Does anyone here listen to Iron Butterfly? I love them, especially the In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida album. I was wondering if anybody knows of any other bands that are almost exactly like Iron Butterflys music like hippy, stoner, 60's but they sound like them. :hippy:

Iron butterfly is one of my all time favorite bands. I love the 'Ball' album.
The last time I saw them, they got about half an hour into the show, when the power went out. They never came back on. It was nearly a riot when people realized they weren't coming back.

I always loved Iron Butterfly, too! In fact, when I was in the hospital a couple of weeks ago and they came to test my arm movement after my neck/spinal surgery, one of the checks was to have me tap on a surface with both my hands. So I tapped a few times and then morphed into the "InaGaddaDaVida" drum solo just to show off. This display was totally lost on everyone but my husband, who recognized it and laughed. My surgeon's PAs were far too young to have ever known "aGaddaDaVida" or Iron Butterfly.

I love IB, I only have two of their LPs (Ina-gadda-da-vida and Live) but they are still one of my favorite bands. Very heavy shit for 1968.
