    Changing Bud Color!!!

i have a question what kinda chemical is in food coloring?

cant be that bad we put it in cake icing and eat with out cooking it or anyhing doesnt make sence?

putting it into your plants could work try once or twice works or not flush the plant make sure nothing harmful was done

tell you what im gonna devote just one plant to food coloring just to see what colors actually do come out into the leaves problety wont work you feed plant blue fertilizer does it turn blue like that one guy said it would probley be better for just natrule ive seen many green bud thats just as good any blue red ornge or anything like so!!!

unless your selling dope to a bunch of dummys that would pay double price for just color hmmm why not but if just smoking 4 ur self i wouldnt specaily if its the first time for the strain or even seeds youd wanna see the out come of naturale 1st

like he said its most likely in the jeans for ornge bud blue berry bubble gum etc. diffrent strains grow diffrent things!!!

has anyone ever tried using food coloring? if so how did you? and did it work?

wouldnt try having some fun with someone 's plants lol that would be bad as hell!!

    Changing Bud Color!!!

I woke up this morning, which is the third day, and the red from the cool-aid pack is gradually moving up into the roots. So far it's still growing like I said. I'll keep ya'll posted.

The food coloring isn't moving up into the roots, it's staining their surface.
You can eat food coloring but it is not FDA approved for SMOKING... scary.
You do see other fall foliage colors like reds and oranges in strains such as Soma Rock Bud.
If you want to go down below 60, do it during only the last couple days before harvest when it won't make a difference.
I'd keep night temps in the mid 60s during the final flush period. You are breaking down chlorophyll then anyway and that exposes other colors/pigments that the plant has present.
If that strain does not have the genetics to make other pigments, nothing you do will turn them purple, short of a spray can. (don't do that lol)

LOL I could picture someone spraying their weed with spray paint or theat stuff you spray in your hair at halloween to change your hair color. That would be hillarious!!

    Changing Bud Color!!!

First of all, why would you EVER want to unnaturally change the color of bud? the only value it can have is in sell value, and even then, you'd be selling an inferior, and potentially dangerous, product. Food-coloring may act in an unknown way in the lungs, as it might permanently stain your lungs of the color, or it might clog up your bronchia to cause serious damage to them. Very unwise, considering your lungs are VITAL for your survival, so if you smoke anything that isn't natural, you are pretty much playing with your own life. I strongly advise you do not color the bud of the plant, and if you already have, do not smoke it. Especially, don't sell it, because if it turns out to kill that individual, it's almost like you have committed murder just because you wanted to change the color of something. If it is for profit, you should not sell by color, but by quality, as selling by color is a decietful and (to me) low marketing strategy that is, again, potentially harmful to consumer's health. If you wish to have colored buds, go seek out strains that are known for producing that color (Purple: Many "Purple Hazes", I'm not going to argue if it exists or not, there is bud out there that is naturally purple. For that reason, dealers call it purple haze. I will not dispute the subject, I don't even care, purple in general is an inferior herb, to me.) Blue: Blueberry, sometimes Bubblicious. Red: Red Dragon, etc etc (just forgot the other reds...)

Of course, I'm no health expert or anything. But why do you think that even expert growers advise to flush the last two weeks for nutes? Because whatever you put in there eventually gets inside, and if you put it on the bud itself... that's just asking for trouble, or a really bad cough. Perfectly ok to EAT food-coloring, but absorption through ingestion and inhalation are two very different methods. Food coloring is alright to eat mainly because the human digestive track is rather durable, and can withstand a shitload of abuse, so a little color won't hurt. After all, people ingest alcohol and rough foods. It's even possible to pass a toy car throughout the entire system, but try stuffing a toy car down your breathing tube and see what happen. (Don't actually do it...)

The only thing that is really trustworthy out there is the product discussed above (the one that stinkyattic agreed with, that Purple Maxx.) You don't need bud to be colored, if it's some good shit, when you're high it won't make a difference (you might even think it's colored if it's really good herb)

    Either way, Rant End.
