On page one of Fox News, we learn that â??ubermodelâ?� Heidi Klum is working with Victoria Secretâ??s to promote a â??new breast booster: Body By Victoria Full Coverage Uplift,â?� and yet not a word about Bushâ??s plan to sell the country down the river next month at the Security and Prosperity Partnership summit in Quebec. All the news fit to print, I guess, or rather post. Of course, it is no secret the corporate media is ignoring this storyâ??not breasts, mind you, but treason.

Google returns recent articles from the National Ledger, Infoshop News, Bay Area Indymedia, the Free Market News Network, the Hindustan Times, and a bevy of Canadian news sources, including the Ottawa Citizen and the Nova News Now, but nary a trace of any reportage from the likes of the New York Times or the Washington Post. Youâ??d think Bush trekking off the Canada would be news, but no. Instead, we get Full Coverage Uplift news.

Corsi notes on the usually stock and trade neocon World Net Daily, despite â??evidence to the contrary, Vice President Dick Cheney says there is no â??secret planâ?? to create a continent-crossing superhighway to help facilitate a merger of the United States, Mexico and Canada.â?� Cheney told a â??constituentâ?� the â??administration is not engaged in a secret plan to create a â??NAFTA super highway.â??â?� Indeed, it may be said Cheney is pulling a George Washington â??never told a lieâ?� routine, because the plan to criss-cross the United States with NAFTA super corridors glutted with Mexican semi trucks ferrying cheap goods manufactured by Chinese slaves is not a secret, it is simply that the corporate media is not reporting it, thus people like Mr. Miele feel foolish talking about it in public. If you donâ??t want to be relegated to the tinfoil hat brigade, stick to Full Coverage Uplift.
â??Bush Quebecâ?� entered in Google returns nada, or almost nothing. Tom Fitton, the president of Judicial Watch, makes mention of the summit to sell out the United States, Canada, and Mexico in the National Ledger, otherwise we confront silence. The London Free Press (Ontario, Canada) reports â??Prime Minister Stephen Harper phoned U.S. President George W. Bush yesterday as the two leaders prepare for the North American leadersâ?? summitâ?� next month in Montebello, Quebec. No mention of the SPP or the plan to merge nations, although a recent Harper trip to Latin America is billed as â??free-trade negotiations,â?� as in the freedom to pillage, rob, swindle, and hold fire sales with the property of Latin Americans, a long acceptedâ??at least by mobster heads of state and â??investmentâ?� bankersâ??policy under the rubric of â??globalism,â?� now touted as an inevitability and irreversible by the corporate media.
It seems Corsi is tireless when it comes to warning folks of the SPP agenda. â??A multinational business agenda is driving the upcoming summit meeting of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, according to a document obtained through an Access to Information Act request in Canada,â?� Corsi reported last month. â??The memo shows a secondary focus of the leadersâ?? meeting in Montebello, Quebec, Aug. 20-21, will be to prepare for a continental avian flu or human pandemic and establish a permanent continental emergency management coordinating body to deal not only with health emergencies but other unspecified emergencies as well.â?�
Is it possible our rulers will use an avian flu epidemic to stampede us into a North American Union scheme, sort of the same way they stampeded us into disemboweling the Constitution and Bill of Rights after nine eleven?

No Security, Prosperity or Sovereignty for Canada in a North American Union [align=left] Dana Gabriel

Much of Canada's sovereignty has already been eroded, but a North American Union would be the final nail in the coffin for an independent nation. It use to be the NDP who championed preserving Canadian sovereignty, but they have become a shadow of their former selves, and it appears as if they have been taken over by the very same interests that they had sworn to fight and protect us from. For what it's worth, I have challenged the NDP to make this issue the pillar of their election platform. The Canadian Action Party (CAP), a little known party with limited resources, is putting the NDP (a national party) to shame, especially in regards to fighting and exposing the NAU agenda. Even with no current members in the House of Commons, the CAP may serve as a real alternative and play a big role in defeating the NAU and preserving an independent Canada for future generations to come.
Canadian municipal and provincial governments are themselves moving forward and advancing deeper integration. The private sector along with all levels of government are working together towards a more regional approach to governance. The Trade Investment and Labour Mobility Agreement (TILMA) is helping to extend some of NAFTA's provisions, and is to be the model that will be followed throughout the rest of Canada. Under the TILMA, corporations would be able to sue municipal and provincial governments if they feel their investments have been restricted. This is further proof of the corporate takeover of Canada and the loss of sovereignty. A recent Conference Board of Canada report called for more economic integration with the United States. Its chief economist Glen Hodgson believes that Canada must join the U.S. and engage in more bilateral trade agreements with other regions and countries. He said that, â??Canadian foreign policy with the United States should be geared to creating the right negotiating environment.â?� Although we are allies and huge trading partners with the U.S., Canada's foreign policy should be independent and reflect the best interests of its own citizens. It appears as if the release of this report is designed to give the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) summit to be held in Quebec on August 20th and 21st a boost, as there is growing resentment to this agenda in Canada.

The SPP's objectives include removing barriers and securing U.S. access to Mexican and Canadian natural resources. This will lead to the further corporate takeover of our resources, with more control of our oil and gas reserves in the hands of U.S. corporations. One half of Alberta's oil sands production is already U.S. owned. It will be the trinational elites in the private sector, and the American government who will benefit from a North American resource pact that would include energy and water. Connie Fogal, leader of the CAP, said that the SPP will begin, â??the accelerated extraction and delivery of Canadian oil and water resources to the U.S. economy.â?� It is no secret that the U.S. has long since coveted Canada's fresh water. In April, the North American Future 2025 Project met and discussed water transfers, consumption, and artificial diversion of bulk waters. Leaked documents obtained by the Council of Canadians show that the Canadian government, along with some business elite, are actively discussing and pursing bulk water exports. Many believe that once this process starts, it will be next to impossible to stop. Canadians need to be aware of the SPP's plan to integrate and hand over more control of our natural resources to the Americans. Canada desperately needs a national water policy that would ban bulk water exports. A sovereign independent Canada must put our future needs ahead of U.S. corporate interests.
Our command structures are merging closer with the U.S., and Canadian forces are becoming more aggressive in their military operations. The governments tone and the language being directed towards other countries is becoming increasingly more hostile. Canada's military spending has dramatically increased over the last five years. There has been a shift away from its more traditional role as a peace keeping nation over the last 30 years, which has brought praise and respect from around the world. Canada may play a more active role in the war on terror, which could include participation in future American military operations. This could make us more vulnerable domestically. By further binding our economy and foreign policy with the United States, which calls for preemptive strikes and is burdened by the cost of these wars, we could also become less prosperous. The SPP is further advancing Canadian economic, social, cultural, security, and military assimilation into the United States. It is becoming increasingly clear that none of the other Canadian national parties are up to the challenge of protecting Canada's sovereignty and upholding the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Therefore, we must find an alternative.
The Canadian Action Party (CAP) was founded in 1997 by Paul Hellyer, a former minister of defense under Lester B. Pearson. They promote Canadian nationalism and independence as well as monetary and electoral reform. They have called upon the Bank of Canada rather than the chartered banks to issue loans to the government. They oppose globalization and have called for the abolition of NAFTA. In 2003, Paul Hellyer resigned as leader after a failed merger proposal with the NDP. Connie Fogal, a lawyer, former teacher, and anti-globalization activist became leader in 2004. At their national convention in 2006, an upside down Canadian flag was flown as a signal of distress and resistance against the integration of Canada into a NAU. Fogal said, â??The rapid integration of North America into one entity ruled by an unaccountable, unrepresented, and unelected group cabal of administrative executive branch officials is treason pure and simple.â?� The party has been blackballed by the corporate controlled media and it is through the internet and American alternative talk radio that their message is reaching Canadians. Under Fogal's leadership, the CAP has blossomed as a defender of Canadian sovereignty, and has become one of the leading forces fighting the NAU in this country. It is obvious by her writings and video presentations that she is well read and has a keen understanding of the issues facing Canada and the world. Unlike other political leaders, she is free to speak her mind and is not bound by party politics or special interests. In reference to her party, she stated, â??Our challenge is to communicate that CAP is a real alternative, a vehicle saved for the people to use to assert and govern ourselves.â?�
As more Canadians become aware of the North American Union agenda, they realize that their own elected officials are intimately involved in this process and are being anything but honest with them. Grassroots organizations such as the Council of Canadians are opposing deep integration and are organizing protests to coincide with the SPP Summit in Quebec in August. The Council of Canadians is planning a public forum as well as a National Day of Action. To add insult to injury and to further illustrate how little sovereignty and freedom we have left, the RCMP, along with the U.S. Army, blocked the Council of Canadians from renting a municipal community center to hold their SPP forum in. There will be a 25 km security perimeter around the Chateau Montebello in Quebec where the SPP summit will be held. There is a strong backlash to the NAU agenda which could draw up to 10,000 protesters, and is an opportunity for Canadians to voice their displeasure. There will be no security, prosperity (only for a select few) or sovereignty for Canada in a North American Union.

Despite the deafening silence in the US and Canadian media (Have they put ANY reporters on this in the lamestream media? one wonders .. hard to find them!!) the purpose of the upcoming conference to be held in Montebello, Quebec is to ratify the Security and Prosperity Protocol (SPP) of North America, which was initiated by Bush, Martin and Fox in 2005.
This so-called â??partnershipâ?? will result in what the politicians refer to as â??continental integrationâ??-newspeak for a North American Union- and basically are a harmonization of 100â??s of regulations, policies and laws. What we have here, really, is the plan to highjack the North American continent by a very small contingent of industrialists, government cronies and thinktanks. following the clampdown after the 9/11 synthetic terror event. As the slogan says .. Security and Prosperity for WHOM?

Once this â??partnershipâ?? has been ratified as fait accompli; we will be following in the footsteps of the European Union. It will mean that the US, Mexico and Canada will become part of the North American Union by 2010, and resources, agricultural, health and environment issues, to name a few, will be controlled not by the 3 Three Amigo's countries of the US, Canada and Mexico, but by the government of the North American Union.


Only there is a BIG difference: you see these two little member countries needs are DWARFED by Superpower the US! It's not the same as the European Union at ALL. Europe wasn't bogged down in an era of genocide and endless war either at the start of the EU .. comparisons are not apt. Mere size of the countries alone would show that this cannot be the same.
At this time, we are lead to believe that the "summit" of the elite will be discussing, or making pronouncements, on what is to be done if there is a pandemic or national emergency. What that implies, alone is cause for concern ...

What's Up?

The coming megolithic â??NAFTAâ?? highway, one quarter of a mile wide, is already being built in Texas, where private land is being expropriated, and will eventually reach the Manitoba border and go on from there ... it allows the west coast shipping ports to be circumvented, instead relying on huge Mexican port, in the name of facilitating "free trade" . but free trade of what ..? Asian drugs ..? And how is that port to be defended?

Water (the new gold) will be the â??issueâ?? of this century, as more than 25 states in the U.S. are currently in desperate need. Where do you think they will get the water they need? Canada claims 20% of the world's fresh water "reserves"!! and plans to get it out where developed IN SECRET by the Center for Strategic and International Affairs in Washington DC; they very people who brought you the shock and awe technique used in bombing Iraq into submission. Just who is deciding who gets the resources as they dwindle ..?

The United States is already guaranteed 60% of Canadian natural gas resources from NAFTA, which mean that even during emergencies when Canadians need energy that cannot have it. This is somewhat perplexing since Canada only has nine (9) years of PROVABLE gas supplies for itself. Canada is asked to import it! in case of shortage ... This is just one example of how Canada is being shortchanged, and itâ??s only going to get worse. Even people in Harper's own Conservative party are aghast at this, which was only revealed in Parliament by Gordon Laxer - and the committee Chairman walked out in protest of his testimony!! -- a first in Canadian history. So much for government transparency. When will the truth be told?

Mexico is so far exempted out of the energy equation; they are in control of the energy part of the 'protocol' and have a state run cartel.

As Linda McQuaig author of It's about the Crude, Dude: Greed, Gas, War and the American Way points out, PM Harper's stand on giving away Canada's resources is DEEPLY troubling - He talked about CONTINENTAL energy in London, saying that Canada would be "self serving" to keep this energy for itself. He is paid to protect Canada resources. Any wonder that Canadians are wondering that perhaps their Prime Minister is advocating treason ..? What would happen if the roles were reversed . would American be "self serving" to hang onto ITS resources if Canada had an emergency? This is NAFTA plus Homeland Security and only "the elite" get the advantage.
But there is more WAY more than just this. Are are we to find out what is going on?
Way too many questions

Canada is in charge of the presentations on border equalization while the US holds the hand dealing out cards on trade regulation. Hmmm.

People who are"in the know" in Canada are are baffled and asking an obvious question these days: Why has there been absolutely NO public consultation on the biggest issue (North American Union) facing Canadians since Confederation? And where is the US CONgress on this issue? With the single exception of a House vote on a transport issue, everything is quiet. Too quiet ...

What has happened to democracy? ... or maybe more accurately .. why have we devolved into demo-craaaazee?

Hello! Construction of a 2 km fence with a razor sharp top has already started along the route 148 outside Montebello, Quebec pending the upcoming SPP summit and is due for completion sometime during the week. Plans for a sedate public forum to discuss the SPP and the coming NAU were suddenly cancelled when the US Army, the RCMP and local Quebec police refused to lease a hall outside in Papaneuville to the Council of Candians. Rapidly on the heels of this news, a 25 km security perimeter was announced and a limit was placed to five (5) people per van in the area as per instructions by the US Army, the RCMP and local police. This brought about such a resistance that now those involved are determined to shout BuZh and cronies out of town. This is not going to be easy. Previous attempts to stop globalization have resulted in the use of terrifying weapons, and people in Canada are putting themselves on the line. We need YOUR support.

Government claims to be democratic, but in fact, does it act like one, or does iit prefer to make the big decisions at committee level behind closed doors, while masking its real intentions?

These are just the tip of the iceberg of many, many troubling questions .. ones to which answers are not forthcoming.

What's at stake?

The ratification of the SPP, and the emergence of the North American Union have been organized entirely by government committees and private enterprise for THEIR benefits which simply "won't do"! if we are to live through the 21st century. A very new alliance is being formed as opposition gets organized. The flatbed truck will bear banners attacking the North American loss of jobs under NAFTA. The US alone has lost 5000 jobs due to NAFTA, and the NAU will guarantee that more jobs will go SOUTH of the Mexican border. People are pretty fed up with the "taxobabble" that is directed at them as superprofits SOAR. And now we face what has been called "NAFTA on crack" or "NAFTA on steroids".
Privatization of our resources, transnationals holding ALL the cards, and Canadian and Mexican governments with less and less authority will be a lasting legacy of DIS integration for all our chldren. We simply must stick together to avoid the inevitable widening of the rich/poor divide, the endless "taxobabble", the breakdown of environmental law, and perhaps to avoid the meltdown of the entire Arctic which is now up for grabs.
Some Answers ... Our next steps as progressives

I've read that in order to "opt" out of the SPP, states may have to secede. Thirteen states in addition to Idaho are calling on Congress to abandon the SPP: Georgia, Arizona, Missouri, Illinois, Oregon, Montana, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Utah, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington and Virginia.

Below are some great resources. They are provided in the hopes that YOU will do a couple of things to support us up here in Canada.
One is to learn as much as you can. Another is to write your media and CONgress (or Parliamentarian) and ask why you are being kept in the dark about the upcoming union.
And a third suggestion is that you hold a teach-in or just have people come around and chat about what is being hidden. There more youtube videos and articles posted on my blog you can use as resources, too. Hold a youtube party for those you know will be interested in this.
Just chat this up with your neighbors, your friends and those you love as this is happening very rapidly. It goes to Congress for presentations and ratification this fall, under the direction of Henry Kissinger. It's now 11:59 on the countdown clock.
As so many of the corporations are household names and we use their services and products every day, we must gbe aware the this is so engraned and embedded, that we must fight the SPP from many angles, say McQuaig. Just as THEY, the corporate elite are all complicit in this together, we are all in this together.

Our landlord is stealing our HOUSE! Time to kick him OUT. Although America is beset with problems; this is no time to ignore the latest assault on social justice. Truly, help us STOP THE SPP!!
