I try to get a hold of and watch every documentary about the Universe I can find, I'm simply fascinated by it, however my understanding of mathematical physics is poor at best. My gateway to understanding is in documentaries. One of my favorite is Stephen Hawkings six part series Universe. It really does an awesome job of taking people step by step and explaining how we come to know what we know now. It's a good starting point to branch out from and learn more details that have come in the few years since. I watch an episode of it almost every night for the past few years.
