Male to feamle?

What's up people?I got a question,if anyone can answer it.Ok,first of all.I moved recently to florida,from kentucky,and I brought 2 dank kentucky indica plants with me.I believed them to be a male,and a female,and I was right.My stupid dog ate my female,and now all I'm left with is a male.I'll tell you,I was going to breed this strain,as it was a very sticky,stinky dank plant,with phat buds.I managed to get an eighth for 100,and it had 3 seeds.I would just chuck the male,and start over,but the weed here is horrible,and not worth growing.It's nasty mexican shit,more stems and seeds than buds.I made a mistake,and didn't bring any more seeds,of different strains with me,and now I'm left with a very healthy male.I was wondering if it would be possible to turn him into a female,or perhaps a hermaphrodite?I figure if I let him continue to flower,and keep him going long enough,maybe he will turn to a she.Is this possible?I hope my experiment will work,because there is no way I'll grow the shit here.Please help me with this question guys,as I would love to know if it's possible.PEACE

Yea i'll try to get some picz up of my little plant... shez jus a small one.... but when i get some time tonight i'll do it...and i think that should mess up the cycle with the indoor lights... this may take some time but this is what this project is all about... good luck..

Brand- I think this is a cool thing to experiment with, don't get me wrong, and I like that sort of curiosity- the thread is going to last, I just don't want to see people getting their pets high on it, ya know?

I personally HAVE had males go herm on me and start throwing pistils. It's Nature's way of continuing the species under unusual growing conditions. I never tried to use that male to make seeds, though.

There ARE some rumors surrounding the use of pollen from a hermi male, but I've never seen someone do a seed run that way.

Go nuts, it's pretty cool to experiment.

I have heard of growers claiming they had a male plant turn into a female ... I also have read stories about Bigfoot, and Alien Abductees ... all claimed truthfulness ... (so, now, I'm standing in the woods, late at night, wearing a tinfoil hat, and looking for tracks, but my plant still has balls) ... :jointsmile:

ok i did some research for you on gibberellic acid and it turns out that most people use this acid on females to make them males to they can breed and have 100% female seeds so thats a bummer... but there are many cases that people did use it to make males into females so what you need to do is to take a clone and grow it and then add a little bit of the acid with water at the early stage of flowering. when you google it type in "gibberellic acid male marijuana" and a list of things pop up for it so good luck and let us know how it goes...

Let me say again.

You may get a couple calyxes here and there but a male is a male is a male.

This is starting to turn into one of those bad information threads. I'm leaving it up as a curiosity but this is NOT a technique that growers typically use.

Also, we do not tolerate ANY discussion of getting your pets high. All posts about that WILL be nuked and if it persists, expect infractions.

Yeah,I know man,a male is a male is a male.I'm a very experianced grower,and have been growing for 11 years.I got some good grows under my belt.I always kill the males,and I hate males,but like I said I just moved to Florida,and I don't know any where around here,to get decent smoke,to obtain some decent seed from.I can't afford any quality seed right now,either,and I've looked at a lot of good sites,and most don't accept money orders,and I have no credit card.I'm just hoping,that maybe there might just be a chance to turn this plant into a hermie,so I can at least get some seed from it,and a lil better smoke.I'm thankful that you are leaving this thread up,as I believe that if this works,all the people who only grow one plant,and get a male,just might not have to throw it out.My Iguana was mean as hell,and whipped me with it's tail,and he clawed the heck out of me,that's why I got rid of him.You have to hold them,and pay attention to them,a few hours a day,and they will slowly become tame,but that's a different story.Well,my plant is still alive,and bushing out with two tops,very nicely.I'll keep you guys posted on it's progress,if this thread makes it that long,hehehe.PEACE

Since it seems to be such a great plant, I would suggest letting it finish flowering and simply collect pollen so you can pollinate a future female with it.

Yea Female flowers are better than nothing.... good point... and in my point of view its whatever you feel that makes you happy with your growing...its all about learning and this new idea of cubing sounds like a great idea because you will mostly get the best of both ends... ya feel... go keep doing what your doing...and about your plant getting eaten by your bog is how i only got one plant left as well but my iguana ate mine..lol... he jus loves marijuana.... good luck to ya and yea keep us updated.......
