Male to feamle?

What's up people?I got a question,if anyone can answer it.Ok,first of all.I moved recently to florida,from kentucky,and I brought 2 dank kentucky indica plants with me.I believed them to be a male,and a female,and I was right.My stupid dog ate my female,and now all I'm left with is a male.I'll tell you,I was going to breed this strain,as it was a very sticky,stinky dank plant,with phat buds.I managed to get an eighth for 100,and it had 3 seeds.I would just chuck the male,and start over,but the weed here is horrible,and not worth growing.It's nasty mexican shit,more stems and seeds than buds.I made a mistake,and didn't bring any more seeds,of different strains with me,and now I'm left with a very healthy male.I was wondering if it would be possible to turn him into a female,or perhaps a hermaphrodite?I figure if I let him continue to flower,and keep him going long enough,maybe he will turn to a she.Is this possible?I hope my experiment will work,because there is no way I'll grow the shit here.Please help me with this question guys,as I would love to know if it's possible.PEACE

Bet you didn't even bother to google it or try a search here! Without hassling to check it, I believe gibberellic acid can cause sex reversal in male cannabis plants. -Granny:hippy:

You can do it with GA or light stress.
Mess with light cycle- bright light at night, at odd intervals.
GA, be careful. It's toxic!!! But yup, it works.

Ok,I don't wanna mess with toxic chemicals,so I guess I'll try messing with the light cycle.What exactly do I need to do?I have the plant growing outdoors,so I'm not sure I can put some bright light on it,with out the neighbors seeing me.The eighth I got was chronic,and it was very phat.I know the dude that grew it,and he hooked me up.One hit from a bong,or pipe,and you can't even walk,that's why I wanna keep this strain going.I searched this site,and others,and I just wanted to know what you guys think would be the best method,so get back to me.PEACE

ok i did some research for you on gibberellic acid and it turns out that most people use this acid on females to make them males to they can breed and have 100% female seeds so thats a bummer... but there are many cases that people did use it to make males into females so what you need to do is to take a clone and grow it and then add a little bit of the acid with water at the early stage of flowering. when you google it type in "gibberellic acid male marijuana" and a list of things pop up for it so good luck and let us know how it goes...

Ok,thanks Mr Green,I just went to check on him,and it's confirmed,100 percent male.I'll tell you,I bet he's got some pretty dank smoke!He smells better than some females that I've grown.He's bushing out nicely,so I'll be able to take some good clones.I'll do a search,and figure out how to get some of the acid for the clones.I'm also going to extend his growing time,and keep him alive,way after he is done flowering.I read some where on this site,that if you do that,he might produce female flowers.I also saw on the sight,that if you give him around 10 hours of light,and 14 hours of dark,he might revert to a female.I'll try it all,because I can't afford good seed,and I'm not growing this nasty herb here.I'll keep you updated on my progress.PEACE

Oh,I don't plan on it.I'm going to cut half of the plant off,and smoke that,This plant is growing outta control,and I'm getting worried that some one may see it.The surrounding plants used to hide it,now it really sticks out.I'm staying in a pretty well to do neighborhood,and the neighbors are pretty nosy.I hate to do it,but it's getting too risky.I might let it grow for another week or so,before I trim him up.I'm pretty sure I'll be wasting my time,trying to turn a male in to a female,so I've decided not to try the chemical approach.To tell you the truth,I don't see why people don't like to smoke males.I've grown some males before,that will knock you on your ass.If you grow a fire strain of cannabis,and you get males,chances are they will get you super high.I know this from experiance.I figure,I'll just keep him going,and get him bushy as hell,I'll then have a constant supply of grass.I'll tell ya my male,will be better than the real herbs here,because the herb here,is just that bad.I'm also thinking,after I top him,and bush him out,and extend his life,he might just get some female flowers.Well,wish me luck,and I'll keep you guys posted.PEACE
