I don't know personally. However you guys keep saying to Slip about de ja vu, but he is talking about premonitions. For example there was something on the news years ago about a women who had requested her husband not go into work because she had seen something bad happen in her dreams. Later that day the building that her husband worked in collapsed, that's not de ja vu.

Something similar happened with my Great Grandmother. One night she woke up disorientated, and she had large patches of grey come through in her hair. She felt very uneasy and had a vague memory of her dream, it was about her brother. The next morning she received a call telling her that her brother had been shot dead.

ok, now explain the noting of the dreams... the ones i remember pretty much everyday until it comes true (weeks, months even years later)

i do plan to start a dream journal now tho...

you said in the original post you did not remember the dream untill it happened for real...now you say you remember the dreams everyday for years...i think you just compile all your dreams into a memory bank untill it fits into a real-life situation and bang-o-rama you got a psychic vision

My only psychic experience was when my HS English teacher, a wonderful man and a fine teacher, whom we all suspected was gay, failed to show for work one day. I wondered aloud if "one of his gay buddies knifed him." It turned out that he'd picked up a gay streetwalker, who stabbed him to death for his wallet. I felt awful.

erm... i'm hesitant to call BS but unless you were there, how do you know the street walker was gay and how do you know the circumstances (i mean, a principal certainly doesn't come in and say "mr. <name> was gay, and attempted to pick up a gay street walker, who in turn killed him and took his wallet")

as for experiences like that, i've had some similar... but again, nothing of any real magnitude, just simple everyday shit...

Yeah slip that shit happens to me too. At least once a day (unless I barely talked to anybody that day, or not at all) I will either say almost word for word what somebody else was about to say, or I will be thinking hard about something and they will pop out with it, then look puzzled as to why they said it lol. Also.. my ex would wake up in the middle of the night for various reasons and I would wake up at the exact same times. We began writing down the times we woke up, then comparing them. It was almost always her fault, but there were a couple times when I would wake her.

Hah, wow that would be an ackward situation. I know that my highschool wouldn't have told us that was the case, they would have made something up. Then again, my highschool tries to keep bomb threats and shooting threats on the down low so I wouldn't believe them anyhow. They once tried to pass off a kids suicide as nothing but everybody knew how the kid died.

Anyhow slip I believe you on this matter. I have thought long and hard about things like this. There are people who claim to be psychics and that they have unlocked parts of their brain that normal people have been brainwashed to surpress (this is refered to as the 'third eye' commonly because people say it can be felt in the middle of your forehead when it is "opened").

I've heard of things such as remote viewing and astral projection. Remote viewing is when people can basically walk with their eyes closed. They sense everything around them and have somewhat of a 360 degree vision. People have used remote viewing to tell the future as well. The government denys this, but there are claims that they have a project designated to psychic phenomenon such as this. Astral projection is when somebody can conciously remove themselves from their body and travel to what has been called the 'astral plane' where they are basically inside a demension of thought that cannot be explained with words. Famous astral projectors have claimed to reach heaven with astral projection, but most scientists believe astral projections are just odd dreams.

It's an odd coincidence that I was looking into the phenomenon of deja vu yesterday, seeing this thread gave me a bit of it actually.

i'm not sure if you'd call it astral projection but one time i had a 'dream' (only i wasn't fully asleep.... i could still hear everything going in the house) and i was walking/floating (i was at the same level as if i was standing but i didn't have to 'move my legs' to move) around the house.... and the feeling was... weird.. i still remember the feeling... it's never happened since, and i was pretty sick at the time so i wrote it off as one really weird dream....

i still remember that feeling tho (and that was like... 16 years ago... i was 6 when it happened) it's impossible to describe accurately, about as close as i could get would be my skin felt as if it was being pulled straight out in every single direction, but not in a painful way.... (just think how it would feel to expand evenly but straight out like 4 times your size... that's about how it felt, as best as i can describe anyways)

i still consider it a really weird dream....
