I use tor. I've always been curious how much it helps... I mean what are the actual dangers from not using it? It's slooooow. So reaper, how did it go for you?

TOR is definitely slower than an unprotected computer!
I went to one of those IP finder sites and was HORRIFIED when I entered my 'real' IP addy... It freaked me the FUCK out. I was like, oh shit, they could be out in the hallway right now.. AAAAAH!!! Like, geographic coordinates freaked out.
I literally went out and bought a laptop with cash and it has never been anywhere NEAR an IP with ANY connection to me. When I'm not on that, I use TOR.

what about a library pc that only gets used to check email? they obviously dont let you on to "questionable" sites? what happens to the other peoples addresses? ill be your bf stinky, if only in name! love ya. girls with hiking boots rule!

I use public wireless at cafes, outside office buildings, etc. I'm like the guerrilla surfer, lol.
I don't use my friends' home IPs.
