First hydro grow log - Bubblegum

Hey all,
This is my first log. It's my fifth grow, fourth doing it hydro.

I'm growing the Bubblegum strain from Serious seeds that I picked up through the friendly folks at HempDepot.com.

Here's the setup:
- 10 x 10 room, white walls, mylar on ceiling
- ventilation is with a small (and underpowered) fan to the outside world (this part will be upgraded in a while to include a carbon filter and more powerful fan)
- veg growth is under 12 23Watt CFL (6 cool and 6 soft white)
- flowering with a 400 Watt HPS

The hydro system is a simple DWC bubbler in a rubbermaid container. Bubbles come from a Hagen Maxima and 2 x 6 inch and 2 x 4 inch air stones.

I'm only growing two plants to flower at a time but starting 4 seeds to make ensure that I'll get a couple of girls. The last grow of this strain got a little too big in the flower stage so I'll be moving the plants from veg to flower 1 month after the seedlings start to veg...

Part of the goal of this grow is to establish one plant as a mother and start a cycle where I can take cuttings from the mother every few months. Up to this point I have had about a 50% success rate with cloning so I'm trying to perfect it.

I'll post some pix of the setup and the seedlings in a week or so. The seeds have just been started so it'll be a short while until there's anything green to look at

Here's one pic of the room as it is set up so far (for some reason I couldn't put the image in as an attachment so I hope this comes through).

There are a couple of mature plants flowering in the back left of the pic. A friend had been doing some pseudo-guerilla growing and brought over a couple of plants in buckets for final flowering ...
The table is a new addition: the lower part is going to be used for vegetative growth / cuttings and the top is going be used for some other fruits and veggies (have a variety of hot peppers on the go right now).

Under the table are 12 x 23 watt CFL
The HID is a 400 watt Metal Halide
I'm going to add another strip or two of the CFLs above the table.

* Note: the blanket was a quick 'n' dirty solution to keep the light out of the flower section until I pick up some more mylar.

Best of luck with the BG grow, 00.
BG is a real favorite of mine, and many folks around my 'hood.
The commercial BG was always hydro but lots of folks growing outdoors or indoors with soil with woderful results. I'll definetly grow some BG next time.

The clones are still rooting (I was going to start from seed, but decided to speed things up a bit with some clones).
In the meantime, here's a couple of pix of some mature Bubblegums a few weeks into flowering.


Oh, I know the leaves look really sick on these guys. I went away for awhile and left a nute change up to a friend to apparently got the ratios totally screwed up. Some serious burn occurred but they're doing alright now...
