Interesting speculation. I think it's that because when you're environment changes, so does your perception, and you're thinking "outside the box" (excuse the cliche) so you feel more high, as opposed to being confined in the same place.
However, a lot of people are lazy and don't think about going on walks when they're high unless they have to.

Smoking two bowls is the same as smoking two bowls, regardless of environment. Why not go for a walk though, no need to sit in the same place all the time, every day.

I completely agree. All my buddys just sit and watch tv when were high, and it lasts so short doing that because I always get bored of just stairing at things. =]

No, I totally get what you're getting at here. I have one set of friends, all we've done when we smoke the last month is sit in their house, and play Guitar Hero II. I mean, I like the game and all, but it gets awfully dull.
I have another group of friends, we're always smoking on the way to and from places, meeting up with people I don't see much or have never met, and always planning something different to do. I find I enjoy my time with them much more lately than my other friends.
It's not that it necessarily makes the high stronger, per se, but it definitely helps to make the whole experience more unique, novel, and different, which in terms helps to make the high feel stronger, better. It makes me wish I could convince all my smoking friends to get out of the house sometimes

yeah thats true
guy on fox news:\"Your not smoking any of that stuff are you?
Chong:\"Absolutely I smoke it every day you should to your eyes would be open to whats really going on.\"
You know, I left the country when Reagan got in; I went to France. And when George Bush Jr. got in, my instincts told me it was time to go - I\'d felt that we had grown above that, you know?

the theory that smoking somewhere new produces better high sensations is a true one whether the reason is that you're more impressionable when stoned and thus respond to stimuli better, or whether simply it's more fun to go do something than it is to watch tv.
Either way life is too short to not make as many good memories as possible. I'm not saying it's not awesome to veg out on the couch when high, it's just not going to produce any prominent memories than can be relished as one gets older.
