    Testing Growing in a Swamp

Im testing a new grow place this year which happens to be a swamp. Pretty harsh terrain, but has good source of water. The picture below is a plant 4 weeks old (now 3 Aug.). Cant wait to see what develops. The plant's in the shade a bit which is why it looks a little stunted. I also had to prop it up with a pole because the ground was just too wet after it rained. Have other pictures of other plants if your interested.

Swamps can produce amazing buds, being out in the open allows for adaquate sunlight to reach the plant, but it also means shisty-ass people can come in and take it from you. Is it fairly secluded so that won't be a problem?

Good luck with that. Keep us updated.

Very secluded. Long hike through thick forest and poison ivy patches. To get to the plant you have to get your boots pretty wet. The one problem is footprints. You really have to skip on the stones.

or use some trickery and make another set of bunk footprints for them to follow swampy-ish land is one of the best places to grow if you arent all about having to check on your shit every two days.. once the root system establishes, its got tons of water to draw from.. just dont put it in a particularly soggy area, too much water is bad.. remember theres tons of water under the ground even if the ground is dry.. i used to work on ranches out here in florida, which are basically swamps.. i'd plant about 30 yards away from the edges of the actual marsh itself, and leave the things be until december, no pinching, no fertz, no water, no nothin.. weed plants grown in the swamp almost thrive on neglect

Yeah, but a problem with this setup is when it rains it floods. I had one plant under 10 inches of water when I checked during the storm. It drowned (because it was young), and so did 2 others. The best is when you find some dry ground and dig to see where the water is. With this plant the water is about a foot and a half down. It seems to be doing well with some of the potting soil I mixed with the natural earth.

It survived a four day rainstorm and mucky ground in the second week. The stem was so loose I had to prop it up, hence the pole. I think its recovering, but slow.
