Safe gun ownership simply is not possible, but reasonably safe gun ownership may be. And if that is how you live your life, then so be it. I personally feel that a gun only adds problems to a situation, regardless of who holds it.

I'll admit, I don't like guns that much either. They honestly make me nervous. However, if an intruder invaded my home with a weapon and had ill intent, no flower or form of meditation would stop him/her. Of course, you could use the whole "That's not helping the cause" argument, but I never said American citizens shouldn't have guns.
