here are some of my guns

I have to agree with you, fear breeds violence, maybe second only to greed.

As I re-read my last post, I noticed that I'd missed one important point; if weapons were somehow related to responsibility, there probably wouldn't be any.

there you go again ghostoker. you don`t know how we as americans are brought up. how our parents raised us. saying that americans are conditioned to live in a state of fear and paranoia. your not american, you said so yourself. i personaly don`t live in a state of fear or paranoia. i live in the country. there is crime in the country but not so much that i live in fear and paranoia. why do you think that you know what americans are like? do you get that from the television, radio or newspaper? do you beleive everything you hear about americans? that we are all the same, living in fear and paranoia? i`m happy you don`t live here in america also. i wished you would come and visit though. if you ever do visit america come to north carolina and see the country, outside of a big city. you may learn something. maybe you would stop thinking every american is some kind of paranoid, gun toting, dumbass that can`t think for themself. i have said before i think your a smart guy but with post like that you are about to convince me otherwise. peace man.

OK....apparently one thing isnt clear to all these people against gun owners. ok listen carefully damnit, then it wont have to be repeated. gun deaths are high of course, but if there were no guns, then naturally, some other category would be higher.....like maybe stabbing deaths for instance.....would that a signal that we need to outlaw knives???? FUCK NO....ok if you were going to kill someone, what would you use....guns are very efficient, that is why a lot of people kill with them, fast to the point, no clean up, and very little physical effort. that is why people kill with guns. guns dont make people want to kill.....and if there were no more guns, then a bunch of people would die another way......(and probably more painful) if you dont understand what i am saying, just ask. peace
i wasn\'t using my civil liberites anyways.

Again, I have to agree. Where are you getting this, Ghost? Since when you did you become a political media giant? How do you know all of this?
I think it's funny, because you talk about what we're being fed by our media... But how do you know a real damn thing about what truly goes in in America, besides what you've been shown by your media? Since when have you personally come over and taken a look? You think you can base an entire country off of message boards and media? Please.
True, our leaders are a bunch of old fart cock suckers, but don't start grouping all Americans into the picture. That's like us basing your country's entire population off of Blair and his cohorts.
I'm also not happy with the way things are being run in my country. But what you see and hear over there isn't all of America. We're all entitled to our opinions here, but personally.... You insult my country, you insult me. I loved growing up here, and I love living here. All that leaving the country talk was just post-political hot air (at least from me). I know this is my home.
You're the one who is sad here. And I'm certainly glad you don't live over here, either.

thanks clevemire, we need more folks like you around here who will speak up and tell it like it is. not every american will do that. there are a lot of americans on this board that have`nt said nothing. i guess they just want to get stoned and hope someone else will speak up for them. i don`t see anything wrong with someone getting stoned but, to sit back and let people talk about america that way is not very patriotic to be an american. whether they like guns or not. peace.

FACT: The Bush administration told the American public that Iraq and Afghanistan needed to be invaded, and Saddam and the Taliban removed, because the USA was in iminent danger from a terrorist attack.

FACT: After 9/11 there was news report after news report telling you, the American public, that you were in iminent danger from a terrorist attack.

FACT: Many Americans I have met or communicated with that the American public is in danger from a terrorist attack. To quote one Californian I recently met, "They could strike any place, at any time.. We need to be prepared". Even Americans on this website say they need guns for 'protection'.

FACT: In Canada there are roughly 7 million guns (population 30.2m), compared to 222 million guns in the US (poulation 270m). This equates to 0.25 guns per capita in Canada, and 0.82 in the US.. (1998)

FACT: %27 of homicides in Canada were with firearms, compared to %66 in the US. thats a difference of x2.4 (1998)

FACT: The overall homicide rate in Canada is 1.83 in every 100,000. This is compared to 6.62 in the US. (1998)

So, based on these facts, more guns = more deaths. So dont give me any of this "you dont know us" bullshit, the facts speak for themselves. Later
