Howdy NWM,
Stay Safe--Stay Armed !!
On of my goals is to aquire a good pistol for concealed-carry,because I'm disabled too and I don't want to be an easy target for crack-heads and meth-heads. I'd like to see how one of these here anti-gunners,would reason with a drug addict-that's all strung out and jonesing..lol.
I refuse to be a victim !
Have a good one...Torog

I see what you're saying, Ghost. However, just because you don't agree with or understand something, doesn't make it wrong. Like poorman said: How can you know what people think? You can't speak for everyone.

What ignorance? You are showing me a lot of ignorance with your post. I enjoy shooting and hope I never have to use a firearm to defend myself, but if so, I am ready. What is wrong with that? I don't bitch at people who choose not to own firearms. Why is it that firearm owners don't hate people who choose not to own them, but people without guns seem to hate those who own them and want their firearms taken away? I am so fucking sick of people trying to stop me from owning guns. I am not a criminal or an evil person for choosing to arm myself. If you don't like guns, fine, but don't fuck with our rights or treat firearm owners like they are any less human than you.

Well,... I wouldn't call it conformity. It's not really for the sake of a unanimous opinion...

I read somewhere that once Abraham Lincoln was challenged to a duel, and since it was the right of the challenged party to choose the weapon, he suggested potatos.
I don't quite know how this fits the subject, but it always made me think, historically correct or not.
Firearms, roofing hammers, automobiles, tactical nuclear weapons, bare hands, and probably even potatos have been used by people to take the lives of others, and what does it all prove? That there are those in this world who would resort to the use of deadly physical force, for numerous reasons. I think it's the willingness to kill, and the reasons, that are really what should be examined.
If the right to posess a weapon of any kind were linked to an individuals level of responsibility, none of this would be much of an issue. But we've all seen individuals driving, getting high, drinking, or just expressing their opinions, without regard to the effect their actions have on others, so the gun question is just an extension of a more basic issue.
While I like to think I'm respectful of the opinions of others, I sure wouldn't want to give up my squirrel rifle just because someone else thinks it might seem politically incorrect.

Americans are conditioned to live in a constant state of fear and paranoia. Youre fed this fear by your news media and government, which makes you feel like you're in constant danger and that everybody and anything alien to you is a threat.. No wonder you start wars all over the world, and have thousands and thousands of gun-deaths every year... if you're in fear, then you'll think you need to protect yourself, hence more guns... its sad, and im happy i dont live there
