How To: Get ur Gravity Bong to Filter through the water

The Gravity Bong is an awesome device to smoke from and one that i use on the regular. I ran into the issue of it getting too harsh on my lungs/throat and got to the point where i almost had to stop using it. this was taught to me by my friend dave(foehawk) if it is already wide known or there is a post on this then mods just delete it.

Materials:
a bucket or sumtin about the height of a milk jug(i use a 1.5L water bottle)
a powerade(not gatorade) bottle with the sealable top(the one where u can pop open the top, tip it upside down, but it wont come out)
and a stem from a bong(long and skinny perferably)


What u wanna do is cut the top couple inches off of ur bucket/milk jug and fill it up with water. take the powerade bottle and cut the bottom off(about 1 inch or so) but i perfer to put about 5 or 6 holes in the bottom. Then take the cap for the powerade bottle, rip or cut off the flappy piece, and the stem should fit perfectly into the sealable hole(some stems are too big.) If ur stem is too big u can jimmy rig the hole to make it bigger but it wont have as good suction, i would just try and get a skinnier stem. If ur stem fits bring it all the way down and it will seal AMAZINGLY. Then just pack bud in the bowl at the top of the stem and use it as a normal gravity except when u pull up it the smoke will go through the stem, into the water then into the powerade bottle, then of course into ur lungs!!!

you have to put a down steam....but I think gravitys are no good I used to like em but now nahh I like em when their were no pipes or papers but now theirs glass and clear papers cant go any other way if its my choice

I just hooked up some fish tank hose to the bottom of my bowl where it pops through the cap, and did it that way, worked great.

I didn't know they still even sold those powerade bottles, them shits were such a long time ago...

if ur bowl gets as hot as mine does then using plastic is not a good idea.
