Since it's text-based, I'm wondering something. How do you show the progress of the plants? In ASCII art?

I've got an idea for you, my friend. Make it online, kind of like a MUD in a way. Implement breeding and land-race strains into the game, hashish making of all qualities and forms, and THC extractions from the bud that you grow in the game.

Implement factions. In other words, people can choose to be law enforcement or weed dealers. Now the only problem is... how can you sell weed to online players when there is no hype of the drug in virtual space? Well, perhaps it can be through bud testing, and clone-trading, and strain selling. Selling seeds, etc.

Implement gangs/forces within factions, kind of like guilds in other MMO's. Find a way to motivate people to go on either faction. If this could all be done well, then you might have a winner. After all, who likes single player drug dealing games like Dope Warz anyway? All I can say is... BORING!

I think those are aspects that you should consider if you want to make an interesting game, especially when it's only text-based. A lot of work, I know, being a programmer myself. :jointsmile:
