This too, may be strain dependent (I've only grown one strain so far), but what I had to do on my first grow was to wait, wait, wait. My males showed clusters of pods. Not just one. I identified the ones I thought were male and everyday I made comparisons. I seem to learn best by teaching myself, so thats what I was doing.
Anyhow......the point that told me they were definitely male was when I compared the tops. My girls had the cluster of new leaves shooting up into the new world, and the males had a very noticeable cluster of pods forming on the top.

Patience is a virtue bro, try not to get too freaked out. The plants' growing at a seemingly slow pace can be a good thing. For instance, you have a week~week and a half before you have to get nervous about pods popping "usually". Imagine if it all happened within the span of one day? That would be something to be nervous about.

So, just keep checkin em. You'll reach a point where your sure of the ones to cull:thumbsup:.
